The Real Mike Palumbo

Mike Palumbo, aka Palumbo Lifestyles, Palumbo Designs, Palumbo Construction and over 10 other alias’s used in his business, is neither a licensed general contractor nor a designer. Palumbo is currently being investigated by the following:

Contractor’s State License Board- for operating as a contractor without a valid license
State of California- for operating without a business license
Internal Revenue Service- for failure to report and pay income taxes.

Palumbo is involved with unethical business practices that defraud and take advantage of his clients and friends. He only uses subcontractors and vendors who were told by Palumbo to increase their bid and/ or invoice prices by 15- 20 %. When his client’s paid the required additional 15- 20%, Palumbo requires that the subcontractors must kick back that money to him directly.

He also deceives clients about getting competitive bids. In actuality he only gets bids from the subcontractors that are willing to kick back funds to him. He creates fake bids from “competitive bidders” that are more expensive than the bids from the subcontractors he gets kick backs from. This is over and above the General Contractor fee that he is paid on the jobs and none of the clients were aware of the kickbacks he was receiving.

Anyone considering doing business with him or any of his subcontractors should thoroughly investigate him/ them. He has had numerous lawsuits and business disputes with his clients.
